Mancopy Dansekompagni on Middle East Tour

Wednesday the 15th of April, Mancopy Dansekompagni of Aarhus left Denmark for the Middle East tour. Mancopy Dansekompagni will present two productions in the four countries Jordan, Syria, Palestine and Lebanon.

"The tour lasts untill April 28 and will Mancopys longest so far. One thing is that it will be a tremendous exposure of company. It will simultaneously launch a much more intense tour business for Mancopy," reveals Jens Bjerregaard, artistc director of Archauz and Mancopy Dansekompagni.
Allready this year, tourplans include Poland, China and Bosnia-Herzegovina.

Danish audience benefits from the Middle East
The Middle-East tour also makes an artistic outcome at home in Aarhus, DK:
"In the autum of 2009, I and some of our dancers shall return to the Middle East to teach young choreographic talents. And in January 2010 some of the most talented Middle Eastern choreographers will arrive in Aarhus and Archauz to present their works," explains Jens Bjerregaard.

World premiere
At the recent tour, Mancopy Dansekompagni will present Iconic/Ironic (premiere: Archauz, Aarhus: 29/4, 2008) and include a World Premiere of several editions of the concept OriginalZ in a refugee camp nearby Beirut.
The artistic director himself presented the very first OriginalZ at ARoS museum of contemporary Arts (Aarhus, DK) 6th January, 2009.
