1350 for dance during the Aarhus Festival 2009

1350 dance-enthusiasts went for Tango and Italian comntemporary dance during the Aarhus Festival 2009

"Archauz is all about dance and creating movement. In the Aarhus Festival we would like to be among the weird, quirky and funny things that happens."
The words belongs to the artistic director of Archauz, Jens Bjerregaard. With 1355 visitors visiting Archauz during the Aarhus Festival, he is very satisfied.
Archauz presented two Italian performances, "Hey Girl!" of Societas Raffaello Sanzio and "A Glimpse of Hope" by Déjà Donné.

Extra hours open for tango
The two performances pulled a full house. "Hey Girl!" was completely sold out with 595 tickets in three performances, while "A Glimpse of Hope" sold 310 tickets for the two performances.
Also Ballroom was a hit presenting Argentinian tango for everyone. 450 joined and experienced tango on their own body directed by the two professional instructors, Brian Falk and Lotte Thrane. Not one evening, the doors could be closed at 10pm. Instead the two instructors "gave in" and let people dance away an extra hour.
And to Jens Bjerregaard dance equals moving people.

Big applause to the people

To put a lot of very different people together and making them move together during our three tango nights is, in my eyes, so popular, it can be. A true" people's movement "! Jens Bjerregaard sends a big applause from the entire Archauz to the people for another outstanding Aarhus Festival.
