Artistic Director, Jens Bjerregaard, Mancopy Dansekompagni and Koreografisk Center Archauz.

"It is a substantial strengthening of Aarhus' and Denmark´s position in European modern dance. And it highlights that we are not only a Dancetheater, but a Choreographic Centre."
Artistic director Jens Bjerregaard speaks of the yearly € 25.000, which Archauz receives from the EU in order to have more European choreographers work at Archauz.
With the cooperation of European Départs and the resources which the EU gives to the project, Archauz expects to have international residencies for three months each season.

Ten international showings per season
"From five international showings today, we will go to ten per season. In addition, the Archauz U-Kompagniet (the youth dancecompany) and Open Classes gets even more inspiring guest lecturers and the cooperation will provide an overall boost to dance in Aarhus. Aarhus rises another step up as a center for choreography and modern dance in Europe," a happy Jens Bjerregaard continues.
