Archauz has café that is also used as a foyer for performances. From 1st of January 2011, the cafe is called HeadQuarters.

The people behind HeadQuarters and Archauz have a desire to integrate the café 100% in the concept and vision of Archauz. It will be a part of Archauz.

HeadQuarters vision is to create life in the café in the form of live music, dance, theater and other cultural events. This will primarily carry with regular opening hours of the café (Tuesday-Saturday from 15 to 02).

A new cultural venue in Aarhus

Through their extensive network within music, dance, theater and culture, they want to create a new cultural venue in Aarhus, benefiting both the citizens of Aarhus and Archauz.

They have chosen to rename the cafe from Lobby to HeadQuarters, to signal that new times are coming. The cafe will be refurbished, with particular focus on better acoustics. Through color and decor, inspired by the 60s and 70s HeadQuarters wants to create a new and cozy atmosphere in the culturelife of Aarhus.

The people behind HeadQuarters

The two initiators of the new venue concept is already well versed in the cultural scene of East Jutland and in particular within the music scene and festival industry. Theis Smedegaard known as Event-maker and founder and organizer of Denmarks Ugliest Festival, which is now successfully organized for the eighth consecutive year. Ole Løhde is also involved in the cultural field as owner of the record label Sounds Chryan Music, active musician, and touring theater Danish Musical Company.

	HeadQuarters says:
	We have engaged in this project, based on conversations and collaboration with the management at Archauz. We consider the management's ideas and visions for a future center for dance in Aarhus incredibly exciting, and we'd love to work with this new, young and energetic leadership with whom we see good opportunities for fruitful cooperation.

There is a great need in Aarhus, a hangout for the professional artists, where they can meet, where they can gather and where they can take a break with their colleagues and other people of Aarhus.
