About the AICC
The Aarhus International Choreography Competition (AICC), hosted by Archauz biannually, is open to emerging professional choreographers in contemporary dance. Its main purpose is to identify, develop, and present newly professional artist-choreographers in the international contemporary dance community. There is no age limit. The first AICC was offered in 2008.

Becoming a great choreographer requires experience, resources, and networks. By participating in this competition, you will present work for a new audience, receive a juried critique of your work from a group of artists/critics/presenters, and create new networks with choreographers and dancers from other countries.

AICC 2010 Prizes
First Juried Prize: 50,000 DKK (6.700€).

Second Juried Prize: 25,000 DKK (3.300€).

Prize for Best Dancer: 10,000 DKK (1.300€). The best dancer is selected by the audience.

The AICC is sponsored and supported by:
Wilhelm Hansen Foundation
Augustinus Foundation
